That's the old Newport Autosport/Motorcars Intl car again. We believe it is #045 but that's not necessarily confirmed.

Anyway, jomo (old member here - missing in action recently) had mentioned that Motorcars Intl might be re-selling this car a while back. I guess this could prove that to be true.

Did you find this advertised on their website or on some affiliate site? I note that the image URLs are pointing to www.motorcars-intl.com so I'm guessing you found it there.

These are the same photos they used to advertise the car last time it was for sale though about two years ago.

Re: New McLaren For Sale?

I saw an ad for Motorsports Intl in Autoweek I believe it was saying they had a McLaren in.

Re: New McLaren For Sale?

this car is posted both on the motorcars intl website and the dupont registry. i like the color. is this the only mclaren with that color?

it was owned by armen gugasian of newport autosports a while back for a couple of months but he sold it. apparently it's still on the market. i wonder how much it's going for...

any more pics of this car? i really like that color

Re: New McLaren For Sale?

yea, just went on ferrarichat, and found the post saying he had owned the mclaren in late 2000, meaning the car was probably sold early-late 2001

I have several other photos of the car - most taken when it was in Newport Autosport's possession. I'll share some of the better ones later.

Do you have a handy link to the FerrariChat thread? If not, I can find it.

I'd like to ask Armen some more specific questions about the car.

Yes, I was just looking at those now, thanks!

The bigger issue here is that it seems mini magic has been keeping things from us as his screenname on FChat is "k5mcl".

Armen Gugasian of newport autosports and Steve Will of Motorcars bought the car from Gerd Petrik possibly with some type of consignment, not sure. I saw the car in CA a few years ago. Steve Will wsa also invovled in a few other deals one of which almost never happened after the German owner reneged. Dick Fritz was used for the "conversion" on a few cars. What a joke. But, hey, could be Phoenix Sports Cars of South San Francisco doing the work.

gerd the turd strikes again. Didn't you say goodbye to the group earlier? I guess you were embellishing the truth. As usual.

Re: New McLaren For Sale?

i noticed today the car listed again on dupontregistry but the original car is gone. They say they are having trouble with people listing the car under their name with different contact means, people looking for some quick money.

Re: New McLaren For Sale?

actually, the car has been re-listed on their site:
http://www.motorcars-intl.com/detail...set=18&id1=400 (may not work, just go to their site and click inventory). I'll give em a call tomorrow and see if i can get any info
