open hood

i cant find a shop in my country that have the equipp to open hood and other things some one can tell me where i can buy it
or tell me some idea how to open the hood with other tools not like
AF Car Modeling Tutorial and How-To Depository??

Instead of Chris' metal-hook-dental-probe-scriber, I just use the backside of a knife blade.
