good exhaust and loud exhaust

I don't care about loud exhaust, i want the most performance possible. I am not sure about most things with performance modding because my car is relatively new and i am relatively young (20). But i have my own job and am preparred to mod my car tastefully.

My point is, is that i want an exhaust with performance/decent sound. I hate the sound of the extremely loud exhaust or extremely low exhaust. I want my honda to sound like a BMW at low rpm's and a honda at high rpms. Basically, how can i get the sound of a S2000 out of my accord. I love the way those sound. Not too loud but mean enough that you know they are there, and still sounds like a whiny honda when revved! I love it!

I know that once i get better performance parts (CAI, headers, etc) sound will fall into place, but i want to get the right parts the first time.

So what brands are good brands for that S2000 sounding exhaust with a good amount of performance backing that kickass sound?

I would say, look into the DC Sports or the Apexi WS.

Well, I have the DC on my 90 Accord, and I simply love it. It has a deep, quiet sound when it is idle and low RPM, but then when you really get on it, it sounds mean. Plus, its 100% stainless!!!

The WS is a lot like the DC System. I have never heard one, but I hear they are comperable. The Apexi WS just isnt 100% stainless.

Re: good exhaust and loud exhaust

the new A'Pexi WSII is stainless. it's quiet.. in fact it's comparable to stock (decible wise) but when you get on the throttle it opens up. I installed my own exhaust and the A'pexi was a breeze. bolted right up, no problems. i love it.

Re: good exhaust and loud exhaust

I would have suggested the RS*R ExMag, but the sound is really absolutely nothing. I get more from my intake than I do my exhaust =P

The RS*R ExMag GTII on the other hand, is as close to a straight-pipe as is probably legal. I hear it's quite loud though =/

Re: good exhaust and loud exhaust

i hear Tanabe and 5zigen are loud. i would get either Greddy SP2, EVO, or WSII. DC sports is pretty quiet too.

Is this the sound you're after?

(Ignore the visuals, i unknowingly left my camera on after getting some gas; notice me trying to keep the camera from falling off the seat a couple times lol)

Excuse the size (roughly 6.25 megs) hopefully you're broadband.

You also might want to turn the volume up a bit, the sound is recorded kinda low.

Re: good exhaust and loud exhaust

i've got a tanabe cat back custom fitted to my '90, and it sounds great inside, and real nice outside too. It doesn't get that crappy raspy sound like a straight pipe either.

Thanks guys,
I think I have actually decided to go for a quiter exhaust. Which one remains to be seen. As soon as i get my next paycheck i am going to get a badass exhaust. How hard is it to do your own exhaust? What tools do you need?
