Yep it fits. The wiring for some of the gauges is different I believe and there is a bit of work involved to get it to fit right.
check out www.thirdgen.org
go to their forums and search for this topic. Theres lots of info on there.

Re: will a 4th gen dash fit in a 3rd gen car?

Alot of stuff from the 4th gen fbodies fit into the 3rd gens. So far people have been doing the center consoles, leather seats front and back, dashboard, seatbelts, aluminum driveshaft, rearend, front brakes. There are even some guys who have got the plastic gas tank in theirs but that requires a bunch of work.

Besides the dash and the tank all the other mods are pretty much just bolt in items.

why would u want to do that? the dash is about the only thing on 3rd gen that looks cool.

Because the outside of a 3rd gen kicks ass.

wait a sec before u start typin... i didnt mean to offend anyone but i think its pretty obvious that 3rd gens are the cheapest camaros u can buy. and dont say anythin about 4th gen ending production cuz no one was buying them, thats cuz they cost upwards to 35k at 2002, when it was only 22k for a z28 in 94.
