1979 regal T-type turbo, what the hell is up with this thing?
Ok i just got it, turned it over and water starts dripping out the exhaust manifold, so i tear it down to the heads (heads still on), and the intake is full of water, the little resovoir under the carb (in the aluminum piece the carb sits on) isn't leaking, the oil thing is could think of left (has to be from the intake up...) would either be the Turbo is bad, but i think it's oil cooled which would make that impossible to be the problem (anyone know if the '79 is water or oil cooled? OR it be a hole somewhere in the intake manifold between the fuel and coolant passages.... anyone have any input? it has the 3.8 turbo of course.

I am not familiar with that particular intake manifold. Some intake manifolds have water jackets in them to keep the carburettor and pelum from iceing up on cold start and if the manifold gaskets are blown then you get coolant in the intake. Inspect the old gaskets, manifold, and head mating surfaces for signs of water crossing the ports. You may just need new gaskets.

i put water in the intake and pressurized it today and it has no leaks between fuel runners/coolant runners, gaskets all looked ok, so only thing i can come up with is a blown head gasket, filled the cylinder/s and then as the exhause/intake ports opened, blew as much of the water into the exahust/intake as it could..... this engine is incredibly clean, 66k original miles! but it has been sitting for at least 3 years...
