remote start

I just bought a '96 Monte Carlo with a remote starter on it, but the battery in the remote was getting weak, so I replaced it. After replacing the battery the remote doesn't work at all. Do I have to re-program it? If so, how do I go about finding out what kind of system it is to find out how to program it? Thanks for the help.

I think you do have to reprogram but I can't find my installation book for Omega

I called their tech line and they e-mailed instructions to me right away, and I got it programmed fine. Thanks for the help!
