98 Taurus Turn signal problem
In the past 2 weeks or so the turn signals on my car start to blink slowly and then eventually stop working. They probably stop working for about 30 seconds to a minute and then work fine again for awhile. I usually drive about 50-60 miles a day and I would say this happens twice a day right now. The high beams and wipers all work fine on the same switch. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: 98 Taurus Turn signal problem
If you push in on the turn signal arm, jiggle it and move it around the signals will probably work ok, then not work, then work. You need what is called a multi-function switch. It is the complete assembly that is screwed onto the steering column. At the pivot point where it is bent up and down, and in and out there are tiny wires. They break and start to loose contact stopping the funtions they are wired to.
