Re: Weird Question

i think Hot rod Heistand may have an answer, he has set up a push button ignition in his civic racer. if it is the steering lock you are trying to get loose, all you can do is to remove the entire ignition, on my 83 it is bolted in with 2 headless bolts (the kind that twist off when they are torque down) to replace the ignition in my car they had to be drilled and a set of EZ-outs used to remove the bolts, i assume your will be similar, pull the plastic stuff off and have a look at what is holding it in.

Re: Weird Question

Thank's buddy, I did the same thing to get past the steering lock but, Before I did that, I needed to make sure mine ran too, Before I went through the hassle of making a push button start, so I pryed the innerds out of the lock and turned it off and on with a screw driver. I think my main tools were Needle nose vice grips, screw drivers, and what ever else looked usefull. If you take it off the colum first then you have a heck of a time prying on the casing. Good luck.
