Re: your first kit.............

Hmm i have to think back a long time. Old Ford snap type kit. Made by revelle. I think it was a wrecker. It didn't last long. Chuck'd it at a wall in my room.

I laugh because my first kit was a Revell 1970 AAR 'Cuda. Did a decent job with it, even though I brush painted the body. Reason I laugh is because that kit is so horribly inaccurate, and accuracy has become one of my biggest concerns in modeling.

Re: your first kit.............

I cant remember if it was an amt or a revell, but my mom bought me a snap together silver sting ray corvette when I was in elementary school, like 3rd grade.

Re: your first kit.............

Tamiya Ford Sierra XR4i - built with guidelines and help from an uncle. The very first model kit that led me into car modeling. I kind of reworked it a little such as clearcoat, wipers, wheels, black light housing, etc. Its hood became my very first try on CF effects and adding hood vents.

Not long after I migrated to Canada, I picked up a GMC jimmy, forgot the brand - the first kit built by myself. I still have some parts of it left!

A Mustang fastback...
Made by Palmer (I think). It had an awful multi piece body but lots of optional chrome parts. That was back when the Mustang fastback first came out! So, just a couple of years ago...lol
I guess the first model I built as an adult would be ok too.
That was a Ferrari 'Magnum P.I.' 308 from Revell. Just needs a bit of dusting, not bad considering I built it 20 years ago... lol

Re: your first kit.............

Mine was the skyline from 2 fast 2 furious. It was awful. I accidentaly painted the front window so I took that off. Also the body was hand painted and I was too lazy to paint the interior.

My first serious model was a 63 Chevy Impala that I am still working on. My first diecast model was a 03 Ford Expedition that I am still working on.
