suzuki swift electrical problem

i've got a 94 swift with a 1.0L engine and a 5 speed.

my problem is that i went to start the car and when you turn the key forward the warning lights should come on to test for a few seconds then go off and i've got no warning lights coming on at all. also the car won't start, it just cranks. i checked the fuses and the ignition fuse is blown. every time you put a fresh fuse in and turn the key forward the fuse blows instantly. Any ideas or thoughts on where to start diagnosing this would be helpful. Thanx.

You have a short circuit somewhere in your car. There could be a metal ring (fallen off from the cigarette lighter/ Cell car charger) in the cigarette lighter hole.
