Re: braking

im thinking that you got stock 240 brake pads...then with the brembo rotors, the two dont like each other, if you get brembo pads, they might like each other

Re: braking

i hear ceramic was good against heat but they eat up real quick...not the best suggestion....maybe call a local parts store and ask what is the best kind of pads they have to reduce heat. So many different brands and types....

Re: braking

Ceramic brakes cost way too expensive, those are used on Porches, but if you have the cash go for it.
If I'm not wrong they made ceramic Discs but never heard of ceramic pads.
Go get Kevlar pads, they have less brake fade and produce less brake dust, but cost a little more.

Re: braking

Your brakes aren't broken in yet. I just put new rotors on my front yesterday and mine are doing the same thing. Go easy on it for a while.

Re: braking

speaking of brakes, i had my car in to put new studs on for my front tires(the old ones were screwed up) and my friend was looking at them-he just got a job at the local tire/suspension shop-he said my front right rotor looked like it had melted or something around the edge. i havent checked it out yet. but i dont notice any decline in braking

ive heard of some of the autocross guys cutting the Dust sheild off. i cant remember what car it was for but it helped alot. and you could go to home depot and rig up some ducting out of A/C ducts (or you could use the real racing stuff).

Isnt the pedal going to the floor a more of a sign of the fluid boiling? if so try some DOT-4
