Tightening back hatch-How?
How do you make the back hatch close tighter? Mine rattles like hell going down the road, and when you go to pop it, it don't even pop, you gotta open it with the key while lifting up on it.
Thanks |

Sounds like the locking mechanism could be worn out. Since it's springloaded it should keep pressure on the door to keep it held down. Another thing to look at are the bars (no clue what to call em) that hold the door up when it's open. And shouldn't there be something that pushes the door out slightly when you pull the switch? Something like the kick out pegs for shaved handles?

Re: Tightening back hatch-How?
Best method I can think of is the latch on the hatch door. (U-shaped) Just unscrew the the two bolts on either side, make sure they are loose, shut the hatch good enough that latch moves to the correct position, open the hatch slowly making sure the loop doesn't move and then tighten it. Worked for me greatly!

Do you have rubber stoppers on the corners of your hatch? On mine they actually have threads on them. I just unscrewed them a bit and the hatch tighted right up.

The side doors and hood have the same thing. Just unscrew the rubber pads a little bit. Works wonders.

Can you believe! It worked! Now My hatch doesn't rattle, and I can even pop my hatch from the lever up front! Awesome, shit I didn't even need a screwdriver!

Re: Tightening back hatch-How?
not me, mine are screwed out all the way, and it leaks real bad. Still ratles and wont open correctly.
