Where is the fuel filter on the '03 Impala LS?

Has anyone changed their own fuel filter on a newer Impala? Where do I find it?

Re: Where is the fuel filter on the '03 Impala LS?

I have a 2000 impala and i was told that it's by the rear passenger wheel. I bought a filter to put in mine and I looked briefly for it, but I couldn't find it, doesn't mean it's not there. I'm going to change mine soon and i will let you know...

Fuel filters last alot longer than 33k miles.

But anyway, look by the passenger rear wheel, you will see the gas tank... look in front of it, and you will see it.

How many miles should I wait before worrying about it then?

Fuel filter location

Hello,
I have a 2000, but the 2003 should be the same. The fuel filter is right in front of the gas tank on the driver's side. You need a pair of needle nose pliers, a 5/8 and a 13/16 wrench to remove it. My car has 56000 miles on it and I should have replaced it sooner. The car fires up much more quickly and has much better throttle response with the new filter.

Re: Where is the fuel filter on the '03 Impala LS?

All the front wheel drive GM cars I've ever seen had the filter mounted inline near the fuel tank as was stated earlier...I am also fairly sure that filter referred to in the front of the car could only be the oil filter. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
