Re: Honda dependability

I've had mine for about a year, and I used to run it as hard as I could till I blew out a tire on the highway. Now I run it a bit lighter and it runs great. Dependability, well I have had some problems, like the timing belt, radiator and suspension all had to be replaced within like six months of my buying it, but other than that it runs like brand new!

Re: Honda dependability

My lude is great, its running on 166,000 miles strong. Its had somewhere arond $5k put into it at 90,000 miles, mostly form previous owner neglect, and I just got the clutch rplaced at $900, and Im getting a new cat and muffler since a bad air to fule mix melted it.

I think they are great cars, oh and a $1,000 for paint, next up is $300 for stereo. mines an 88, 3rd gen, fuel injected 4ws SI

Re: Honda dependability

i bought mine almost a year ago, and have put a little over 25,000 on it. all i have done to it is change the oil regularly, and keep everything in check. i have had problems with it, but nothing to do with the car's fault. i run my car really hard too. really, really hard. it has 198K

I have owned a few Civics and have ran for more than 250,000. I only had to replace the minor things like altenators, belts, tires etc. I always serviced the vehicle before it was recomended . I drive hard from time to time but take care of my vehicles. As for my prelude i run it hard but maintain service on it often. They are also easy to work on. In my opinion Honda motors makes the best vehicles. They are very dependable

Re: Honda dependability

Had mine for two years.. finally passed 200k a couple weeks ago. Aside from aftermarket, the only thing I have replaced is the clutch and oil filter housing seal. I drive the hell out of it everyday.

Re: Honda dependability

Preludes are pretty dependable as long as you don't open the engine up.
