engine swap for a 2000 si?

i have a 2000 civic si coupe. all i have done to it so far is a greddy evo 2 exhaust and an aem v-2 intake.

im looking into swapping the engine soon, and i was just wondering what would b the best engine for my car.

i know that it depends on the goals of what i want out of the engine, so here r the goals. i can part with the ac, but would really like to keep the power steering, which is y i shy away from the h22. i also want to turbo it soon after the swap, so i know i should stay away from type r engines. i also would like to add nos in down the road after i get just about everything else done. i had my heart set on the h22a, but the more i read into it, i have to lose the power steering and alot of other negatives. so my question is what would b the best engine to swap for my car? my budget isnt huge, but i do have a nice budget.

thanx

You have one of the best engines to turbo in your car already. Unless we are talking about a Canadian model Si here.

sorry still kindda new to the import world. the main reason i wanted to swap is bc of the whole 110 torque i have. if i keep my engine and do all the upgrading to that, what can i do to give em some more torque?!

torque will come with the turbo. Your car is pretty light. No need for a shit load of torque. Just enough to get the jump off the line, then your 8200 rev band will take care of the rest.

It says he's from Ohio so I'm assuming he has the B16A2. Krayzie, keep your engine and boost it. You have one of the best Honda engines on the market, or at least one not worth swapping. If you still have this incredible itch to swap and go through with it, I'll give you $500 for your engine and everything, and you'd be stupid enough to sell it for that. Swapping an expensive dohc vtec engine for another is just plain retarded.
