GC don't start

Hi. I have a GC 1993. It works very well until this morning that doesn't want to start. All ligths turn on (Check engine included) as normally, the sparks, fuel pump, battery & alternator are working, self check send only the code 55 that I suposse its ok. Actually I go to work yesterday and it works good. Can some body help me? It could be the computer? How can i get a fuse diagram?

Re: GC don't start

Go back and check your battery again..GC puters are very sensitive to low volt readings and is typical of no start condition.

I check it

I check both plug and coil wire, Everythings looks normal, actually i clean it. The baterry has 13v but when I try to start it it downs to 9 volts in the voltimeter. So i put another battery that i have but doesn't work. It could be the problem? How to know if is not the computer with out a scanner? (I try the self check as a mentioned before, but only send the code 55 and a week ago It sends the code 17 "Engine stays cool too long" but I change the thermostat so that problem it's fixed ). And a last question, In normal conditions what must to send the self check?
Thank you so much to everybody

Re: GC don't start

I don't know how to check computer without equiptment. Try switching the fuel pump delay fuse with the ASD relay fuse(Black fuse box on fenderwell)....just brainstorming for now.

HI, DID YOU CHECK THE FUEL PUMP RELAY TO SEE IF IT CLICKS WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY ON. DO YOU HAVE THE POWER CONTROL BOX ITS RIGHT BEHIND THE BATTERY. TURN THE LID OVER THERE IS A DIAGRAM SHOWING THE FUSES & RELAYS. IF YOU HAVE A 12 VOLT TEST LIGHT YOU CAN CHECK THE FUSES TO SEE IF ANY OF THEM ARE BLOWN. IF YOU WANT TO CHECK WITHOUT A TESTER, REMOVE THE FUSES ---ONE AT A TIME AND CHECK IF IT IS BLOWN--- GO TO THE NEXT ONE CHECK THEM ONE AT A TIME. IF YOU FIND ONE BLOWN REPLACE IT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. DALE [email protected]
