2nd gen. turbo ?'s

since it is getting harder to find 2nd generation rx-7's with turbo's, would i make more power with a bolt on turbo for an rx-7 that doesn't have a turbo from the factory? and how much would it cost, and what is the kit, if they even make it?

Re: 2nd gen. turbo ?'s

there is a lot more fabrication and upgrading than you would think..... it is actually cheaper to either get a jspec engine and do a swap, or to just buy a TII

Re: 2nd gen. turbo ?'s

the non-turbo rotary doesn't turbo well... pretty much it kills it so bad idea

Re: 2nd gen. turbo ?'s

you can always swap a TII engine into a non-turbo RX-7. It is easier than trying to bolt on a turbo to a non-turbo engine

no i think i'll give rx speed the credit for that post, bad soyo bad!,

lol so would it be cheaper to do the engine conversion to? i would plan on selling the original engine in it if that matters on making some money back but i wouldn't plan on much.

Re: 2nd gen. turbo ?'s

Yup.. AZ. There are TIIs all over this joint. My last 2 TIIs cost $700 and $450 respectively. And they both ran...
