Car audio
Hey, new to the eclipse family. I have a 2001 eclipse with the infinty sound system. There is an amp under the passenger seat with it. My question is how do i connect my remote turn on for my sub amp, and will this effect the amp at all? Also panel take off diagrams. Is there a website for only eclipses?

Re: Car audio
Don't know if you're even around to get this, I'm new to this forum. But I'm NOT new to car audio.
That amp under the passenger's seat is good for the speaker set up that is in the car, stock. That's it. I pulled mine and put in JL audio front and back, and got rid of that receiver for a CQ-8400. There is no way to daisy chain the amps together, but if you don't want to get a new receiver (which I would recommend doing because there is no subwoofer channel as far as I know with the stock head unit), you could hypothetically use the power antenna lead to power your sub's amp. I don't know if that will affect the stock amp, but I wouldnt even reccomend trying to use the stock set up if you're not strapped for cash. www.crutchfield.com is an excellent place, and they'll send you complete diagrams ("master sheets") for the eclipse. good luck! |

Re: Car audio
yeah that head unit rocks; I've got my IPod hooked up to it already...it's awesome. Get a lot of compliments on it...and it's crucial to the convertible's looks in the summer
