Post 1991 fuel pump relay location E-30

I have a manual (Chilton's?) for the E-30 through 1990 and it shows a picture of the fuel pump relay but it does not represent what my engine looks. Can anyone tell me where to look so that I might find the relay? I have checked the connection at the fuel pump and it is not receiving any current and wanted to check the relay next. It appears to be a 7 prong relay...unable to locate under the hood. Please help if you can, thanks.

Hi just had the same problem on my 91 bmw e30 touring. On my car it was located under the black plastic cover near the window in engine room where the cables are going. Ther it is 3 relays from the left you see a white relay, in the middle of this relay and another relay is the fuel pump relay, don't remember what color at the moment, hope this help!

Thanks that helps a lot, I thought one of those was the relay. I still don't have power to the fuel pump though. Tapped on the fuel pump and she started working all is well, thanks for the help.

the reason you did not get any voltage 2 fuel pump, may be that you didn't turn engine, in injection cars the fuel pump don't get power before the engine turns.
