Re: turbo upgrade

Wait, you have an N/A and you want to put huge turbos on it? I don't know if you have researched this much, but you will need a hell of alot more than just the TT conversion. Even with the stock vr4 9b turbos, it takes quite a bit to use all their power in an SL or base. IM Hotshot and ask him specifics of his setup, as I think he is upgrading his turbos on his N/A.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Re: turbo upgrade

What about just putting regular turbos on a N/A? What else does it require you to do?

Re: turbo upgrade

So it would still be cheaper to get a VR4 then to convert a SL?

Re: turbo upgrade

First off, you will probably need a vr4 donor car, alot of skills, and some fabrication. It is not a cheap or easy conversion, but the TT conversion has been done multiple times. I still suggest you PM Hotshot or Tearz, I know both of them have TT conversions on their cars.

Totally agree, when I had a 95 Base I thought long and hard about getting a turbo for it, and then reality hit me, and the best idea was to just get a VR4, you can't beat the AWD. That's what I did and what a great car, had it for about two years spent like $5,000 on her, before I wrecked it, SH*T!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh well on to an Evolution now.
