What is the best kind of exhaust system for a 98 spyder? I am looking up information on it but i thought i would ask on here and see.

Re: Exhaust

Yea that would definitely determine a lot. My personal preference is Greddy Evo2 for NA and apex N1 for turbo. but thats just me. Do a search. this kind of thing has been covered a billion times and you should be able to find all the info and opinions you're looking for. Good luck

I just got the evo2 put on today and I am loving it. It sounds lovely and its not an annoying soup can exhaust. It has a deep tone which sounds good.

Re: Exhaust

deep tone until you get a downpipe that takes away the cat. now mine sounds like a truck with tips when i gun it. Oh well, more power more sound gonna happen

Well loud isn't always bad, then people may think you're just a ricer until you leave em in the dust =) I guess it could be a hybrid type of sleeper..?

Re: Exhaust

im uncertain about gettin a catback. i like the way my car sounds now with only a intake. If I floor it i get a nice throaty roar out of it.. but when im just cruizin 75 down the highway or whatever cant tell its there.

Re: Exhaust

at 75 it is difficult to tell i have it, but the sound that it makes then is pretty badass to me. If you just get a cat without a straight or downpipe, its a nice deep resonating sound at idle...i liked it a lot! plus from the rear it looks sweet. All a personal preference, but if you want more power you need to do it, just chokin up what you have otherwise

Re: Exhaust

yeah i think a gs makes a great daily.. its not really fast or nothing but itll hold 85 up hills on the highway without a sweat.. plus with the 5 speed its still fun to drive and i average close to 30 mpg highway.. but damm i cant wait to have a gst/x to play with on the weekends lmao

I have a 95 NT and Yea I am ghetto compared to you guys I dont have the big bucks for the Greddy or any of that. I have an OBX Evo Muffler and I had a muffler shop custom bend 2.5 in piping from the cat back. I love the way it sounds. OBX makes some awesome mufflers for the price and the EVO muffler looks bad ass out the back. The Muffler cost me 60.00 off ebay shipped and I found a muffler shop to do the custom bending for 90.00 so the total set up cost me 150.00

Re: Exhaust

OBX does make nice stuff. My exhaust is quiet when I am crusing at any speed but then when i get on it a bit it's deep and then when i lay on it, it gets sort of a deep rice mix.
