In dash Video display while driving

I just bought and had installed a new Kenwood DVD player. Does anyone know how I need to go about disconnecting the device that does not allow for videos to be played while driving? I know that it is somehow engaged by the parking brake...

If you have the installation manual it will tell you the wire that is intended to go to the ebrake. I have not installed a Kenwood in a while but it is most likely a negative trigger. If that is the case you just need to disconnect that wire from the ebrake and ground. If it is positive trigger then it will need to go to a switched 12v source. But verify with your install manual.

if you have an older one, take the wire that is suppose to connect to the e-brake and ground it elsewhere. All the e-break is doing is completing the circuit when pushed down so the video feed comes in, but grounding it elsewhere will also keep the video feed. Remember though it is pretty stupid and also very illegal in most of the US to watch videos while driving, so if it is in dash, then you are allegedly watching movies or videos. I also have an indash monitor i never once watched a movie while driving down the road, i will keep the monitor shut and listen to the movie (i know the ones i watch pretty well) until i pull over for some rest when driving long distances. But also if you get some illegal tint the fine is much cheaper than the fine for watching a video while driving. GPS navigation systems do not apply to this field, they are perfectly legal to use while opreating the vehicle.
