Motorcycle Cops

Dos anyone know if motorcylce cops have a camera? I want to get off on a speeding ticket (my 1st) and i want to know if they have any proof?
I live in Seattle Washington if that helps. I got the ticket for 42 in a 25 and my tabs were 2 months due, should i challenge it?

Re: Motorcycle Cops

i hate motorcycle cops. you can never see them and they use a laser gun (at least here) so you can never detect them with a radar detectory. anyways, the court will almost always take the cops word as proof.

In Washington State the officer does not even have to show up for court. That should give you some idea of your chances. Your best bet is probably a deferment. I think Washington's probation period is one year but the ticket does not go on your record.

If you show for court they will probably drop it to a 10mph ticket which will not hurt you a lot on insurance. You may want to do that and save the deferment in case you get a really serious speeding ticket.
