Offset balljoint?
hey guys I was just at my local tire place getting my "89 crx si aligned cause im putting on new tires and wanna make sure everything is cool. This guy tells me i need a offset balljoint for each side of the front.Ofcourse the parts are 300 and labor is $150.The thing is ive never heard of an offset balljoint.I asked the guy if they aligned my car and they said everything is at centered o.but he said the tires will wear uneven without the offset balljoint cause the tires wont stand up like they should.but im confused,if the alignment is done and its centered it would seem to be a waste to add these balljoints?Do i really need these or are they just trying to get more money outta me?any advice would be much appreciated.thanks in advance
I forgot to mention that i have ground control coilovers and agx shocks.its lowered about three inches if that makes a difference. |

Re: Offset balljoint?
even if your alignment is set your camber is still gonna be way off if you're dropped that low. which will make you ride on the inside of your tires. unless you wanna fork out the big money for ball joints you should just buy a camber kit for around $100 and install it yourself and then take it back in to get it realigned.

Re: Offset balljoint?
