Does anybody have these coilovers on there P10. If so how are they, was installation hard and how much did you get them for?

I'm not sure if they make a set for the p10, but they do have a set for the p11 for sure...but from what I know they are one of the best for quality, adjustability, performance and ride quality in terms of coil-overs(sleeves). Installation is just like putting on regular lowering springs, fairly simple. I say a good 2-4 hours, 2 if you've done it before and 4 if your kinda new at it. As for price and availability, you might wanna contact them direct, they can tell you more, you can get custom spring rates and everything, just tell them what you want, what you want your car to be able to do, and they'll give their best opinion...good luck.

I was at a Nissan SE-R meet in Feb and saw a guy putting some GC's in a P10. Yes they do make them. It's harder to install the rears in a P10 than a P11. You have to take the whole back seat and some of the panels appart to get at the rear strut tops. It's takes a bit of work to figure that part out. I don't know the details, sorry.

When you get all of your information (spring rates, etc.)and you're ready to purchase . . . call Courtesy Nissan (800)527-1909 . . . I'm typing the number from memory, so if it don't work, just let us know . . . then I'll try to find it . . . too lazy right now.
They're in Texas. Their asking for $499 (best price available), but their may be some special going on, who knows. Anyway, ask for Vince McCurley . . . and you guessed it: tell him Steve Benloss sent you! PS I ordered these rates: 340 (front), 250 (rear) . . . a pretty popular setup among some of the sporting P10 owners that are online . . . mine aren't installed yet, so I can't give you any ride evaluations . . . sorry. |

hey jason, that was me. i'll try to find some more pics of the install if i can.
i paid around $940 for the gc/agx setup directly through ground control. i'm running 400# front / 300# rear and it rides excellent. anyways, here's a pic of the rear setup. still trying to find a pic of the front. |

Cool, Bump . . .
Tell me, what else did you have for your setup, was their anything else besides just the struts and springs themselves? and how did the install go? |

well, everything came pre-assembled from ground control, which was very cool. this is what they looked like when i pulled them out of the box:
there were no additional parts that are required. you'll need the OEM bumpstops, and have to cut them down a bit. the front setup is pretty straight forward.. the rear was tough, as jason said, removing parts of the rear seats and lifting up the rear deck is kind of a hassle. the installation was a little tricky in the rear. someone helped me with the rear setup while i had worked on the front, so there's not a lot of advice i can give you. this was all done at an se-r meet called saltfest 2001, inside a shop. it helps to have a lift and an impact gun for the install if you have access to those. i'll list my other mods since i'm new here.. that is if you guys are curious about my other stuff: - hotshot CAI - '93 intake cam from an NX2000 - advance timing to 19 degrees - hotshot gen 3 header - apex'i dunk muffler - jun ultra lightweight flywheel - act clutch - b&m short throw shifter - apex'i rev/speed meter - powerstop x-drilled rotors w/ axxis pads up front - 17" oz superleggerra wheels future mods/wish list: - greddy catback - JWT C2 cams and ecu - a new head unit, mine is still stock (yeck!) - front strut tower bar - random misc. primera aero parts ![]() |

I see . . .
I have all the components then . . . just have to put them together . . . If you can find one, why don't you show us a pic of your creation, sounds nice. I've got a head unit for sale in the classifieds section . . . Are you going to the DC meet at the end of the month? Welcome to the forum . . . |

thanks and good luck with the install. i should have some very recent pics of my car that i took at the carlisle car show.. i wasn't showing it, but i cleaned it up so i wouldn't be the only one in town with a dirty ride.
i'll see about developing the film soon.. that or borrow my friends digital camera again.i'll check out the head unit.. i'm actually looking for an mp3/cd player once the prices drop a little. as far as the convention.. unfortunately i can't make it. i'm doing motorcycle school that weekend. |
