High Miles
My 240 is a 1995 s14 and bought it in 96 and now i have hit the 200,000 mile mark. I have much maintanence to my car and always take care of it. I am just now taking off my intake manifold and porting and polishing it. For better air flow.

ok...try some seaform too...i dont' know if this was suppose to be a thread all along or a reply. But 200k is a lot....my parents had a 1988 maxima and it was the only car in the family and was used constantly. Only had 180 just this year and was doanted away....they bought it brand new.

hey vsiev, how effective is seafoam, ive heard good reports and horrible reports about it. my friend said he used it and it didnt do jack squat, but im thinking his engine wasnt that dirty to begin with. if i hear more good stuff about it, i might give it a try, my engine probably really needs it.

dont quote me on this but i think its a chemical that you pour into various parts of you engine. it basically cleans out all the dirt and grime you may have in your engine and its counterparts
i think-oil pan, brake lines, and gas tank correct me if im wrong please

It depends on how you use the seafoam.
Add to gas- cleans injectors, valves as you drive and it helps your gas somehow. Add to crankcase- frees rings and cleans grime Add by means of a vacuum hose- cleans valves and carbon deposits.

it is petroleum i believe. When i did it i didn't get any black smoke. But with my oil, my oil was really black when i changed it. And my gas mileage seems to go up.

ha that sludge is sometimes the only thing keeping a motor together, if ur motor is not in great shape i wouldnt do it or extremly high milage.

That shit sounds like a miracle fomula, where do you get it???
By the way Plaza, are you rebuilding the bottom part of your motor or just the heads? You rebuild the top and leave the bottom, you are going to destroy your engine. You have to do both at the same time or don't bother.
