Tach Wires Help

87 Iroc, installed 94 LT1 engine. Needs RPM and engine temp. gauges hooked-up which wire is the power wire for the RPM? Red, Green or Black? Tryed wire from painless harness marked tach suppose to connect to tach, joined to a red wire nothing happened. Any help.

not trying to say youre wrong ridge runner cause youre prolly not, but is this a stock guage or aftermarket, cause if its aftermarket i thought the green was the signal wire...atleast with all the tachs ive hooked up it was...

yea green usually is the signal wire, and red is the 12v source, white is for the light and black is the ground

haha its all good, i do it all the time and usually end up going back ot edit my post one or 2 times cause i f*cked up somewhere or another. lol
