Anyone else have this kind of luck?

Lately I've been noticining that my luck seems to be unreal. Of course everyone sneaks by the cops every once in a while, but I've been just incredibly lucky. 3 of my friends have been caught racing while I was driving next to them. I've raced 10 different cars in the last 5 months and haven't gotten caught. Do ythink its just because a 92 sentra is a low profile car or am I just the luckiest person ever. I almost always speed, and it seems like I'm just invisible to the cops. ::knock on wood:: I just want to know if anyone else has this kind of luck?

Yea, I've heard of cops profiling types of cars before. Usually they go after the loud muffler noise and think it's a racer, when we all know its a ricer . Any car wanting to attract attention to it, will have the unwanted attention of cops every now and again

Makes me wander if I should even do anything to it. Its "why no just ley me go" white, and my stock exhaust is pretty quiet. Hopefully repainting it blue, new wheels, and exhaust won't make me too obvious.

The more exterior cosmetics you add to your car, the more heads you will turn for sure, but don't forget that one of those heads might just be one of a cop...that's why I like sleepers

Re: Anyone else have this kind of luck?

yes i dont plan on doing any exterior upgrades to my car just for that reason. One time i blew by a cop at 110 MPH and he didnt chase me. I was shocked, lol but he couldnt have chased me anyways i was leading a huge pack of cars on the interstate and he didnt have time to pull out. BUt other than that ive only been pulled over one time for speeding

I used to be like that...i had superior luck with not getting busted by the cops. Then i got photo radar for going 19km/h over the speed limit for 60 bucks and photo radar for going 80 in a 50 zone for 146 bucks and then i got pulled over for speeding when i was out in Calgary.

I got pulled over....while street racing....in this car....going 97....in a 50.
The other guy was pulled over too so i didn't feel so bad.

254 bucks.

Aparently had i been 4km/h more over the speed limit, i'd have had my license cut up then and there!

My point to all this is don't get cocky and be reasonable about speeding. What goes around comes around!!

Re: Anyone else have this kind of luck?

guess I'm screwed.. you can see my car in a distance but I never get looked at twice from a cop

few weeks ago forgot I was in 2nd and this retarded SUV driver was annoying me, needless to say I power slid around the corner and the state cop in the other direction didn't even look.

I agree though, just watch yourself.. your luck may run out

Re: Anyone else have this kind of luck?

loud exhaust doesn't insist on a ricer literally...those big ass exhaust systems that are the size of a oxygen bottle are....mine car is an 88 Cavalier RS...its original exhaust rusted out from sitting up for so long...so i just put a glasspack with a tip on it...its loud but i didn't do it for attention.

My car is a white, quiet Camry - I've never been pulled over and I regularly do 85 mph on the freeway

LOL tanner07

I'm actually between the 2 myself. Sure it's an old sedan that people don't usually think twice about. But it hasn't any rust on it which is a rare thing considering the car's age and where i live!

That being said, original paint with no rust = second look required.

My shiny hubcaps don't help either!

Cool

I agree, sleepers attract less attention, thats why they are called sleepers, another trick is to make sure the exterior is in pristine condition, cops dont suspect as much that way because you look more responsible and cautious.

Re: Anyone else have this kind of luck?

Trust me, if you have a sleeper, add one little stick of those gay neon lights and watch all those ricers come after you. Or if yuor muffler is loud enough, it will attract some attention too
