Cool - that's great news. Hopefully our "man on the inside" can tell us more about it. Your article link didn't seem to work for me though, so maybe this one will:

HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN TO OPEN THE McLAREN TECHNOLOGY CENTRE
The McLaren Technology Centre will today be opened by the Her Majesty the Queen, who accompanied by Duke of Edinburgh is currently visiting the facility.

The Queen was welcomed to the McLaren Group’s headquarters by Chairman and CEO of the McLaren Group, Ron Dennis and CEO, Formula One, Team McLaren Mercedes, Martin Whitmarsh before meeting senior personnel from DaimlerChrysler, local dignitaries and representatives from the McLaren Group’s portfolio of partners.

Her Majesty the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh then met several of McLaren’s winning drivers including three-times World Champion Alain Prost and Emerson Fittipaldi. She also met the 1995 Le Mans winning team and Johnny Rutherford who won the Indy 500.

The Royal Party then sat down to lunch before they have a tour of the new facility this afternoon.

I'd imagine this would be big news in England since the Queen is participating. Does anyone know if the Queen has her own official press site? There might be photos of the ceremony and other items there. I'd also suspect that the papers and TV may cover the event and also produce their own photos, so keep your eyes peeled gentlemen.

From the link above...
There is also a separate Visitor and Learning centre which will open at a later date.

Bummer.

Re: Paragon opening today?

Ron Dennis look a bit more older than the lastest look in the F1.

Well, it isn't much, but I figured it was worth reviving this thread.

There is a brief glimpse of the rear of XP1 LM alongside GTR #01R in this video from McLaren's website on the opening of the MTC:

http://www.mclaren.com/interactive/video/opening.mpg

Pay close attention at the 1 minute mark.
