first, is it a 5sp? if not, then strapping a 5speed in it would be a nice way to get better acceleration. other than that, the 2.2 (i avhe the same thing) is pretty hopeless. if you can find a 350, therres a lot of documentation online about swapping a 350 into an s10. its a pain but it will def pay off in the long run. have you thought about a k&n filter, or maybe an exhaust... cold air intake... there really isnt much to go on with thw 2.2

Re: 2000 s-10 2.2L
getting a 2 stage flow would add about 10-25 horses, throw a cold air intake and some carb work and you might inch it up some

Re: 2000 s-10 2.2L
IF you don't care how much you spend you could order a turbo kit from turbos-10.com for about 3,000 depending on the options you choose. they claim to up the hp to 200-220 and 0-60 to 7 seconds. if that doesn't sound like what you want look for a good intake k&n and AEM are about the best i know of. a good exhaust helps greatly, i have a custom 2 1/2 inch flowmaster with a side pipe. these are just a few suggestions
