Help: Problem with the rear differential
Hello All
I suspect I have a problem with the rear differential Anyone have input on a fix or an idea of what the problem may be. Description: Noise most noticeable in parking lots: whining, grinding, friction, metal on metal Shuddering in slow hard turns, especially in U turns Metal shavings stuck to magnet on cover plate of differential The local Jeep dealer told me $1200 to replace bearings (I guess they mean all on rear). More than I want to spend and this may not be the issue. Info appreciated and desperately needed. Thanks 2000 Grand Cherokee 4x4 and all available options for that year. |

Re: Help: Problem with the rear differential
rear end shot tearing itself apart sounds like bearing. rebuild or buy used and replace whole assembly.
