Getting to 18-20

How much boost is the most the 97 gs-t turbos can hold?
Im running at around 13 and 14. Do you guys think its low? I dont have a boost controler yet, but what would i need to do to run around 18-20 psi (such as fuel and other things like that)? or would i not be able to run that much on the stock turbo?
What do you guys run your boost at during a race?
Thanks

Re: Getting to 18-20

You won't find many people that recommend higher than 16psi on a stock turbo, so stick with there.

Re: Re: Getting to 18-20

16 is the best, and i would have to say 17 is the absolute max, but only if you have a FMIC and a couple other supporting mods. any more and you will heat soak the turbo and shorten it's life drasticaly

Re: Getting to 18-20

But to run 16, i would'nt have to change my injectors or fuel pump right?

more so the fuel pump and not the injectors, but only for the t-25. any bigger and it is injector/safc[or something similar] time.
