I don't have any specs handy...so i have no weight behind my opinion whatsoever.
i'm just a honda guy. i drive one, as do my 5riding buddies. there's 2 600rr's, a 954, a VTR1000, and the new 1000rr.
every one of us loves our bikes and wouldn't drive anything besides honda.
go with a 600RR

and i'm still a rossi fan! can't argue with the fact that he's the best rider out there. too bad he's not on a honda though, gay yamaha's still makin' gay bikes, now they just have a driver to make them look better than they actually are

It's a Honda. It's a great quality bike. It has the right feel and finish. My biggest gripe is that this is the heaviest bike of the lot. Plenty of power and doesn't require as much revs as the Yamaha. It rarely wheelies on power and it if does, the front wheel rises several inches.

Efficiency: NA
Never driven the bike enough to determine it's efficiency.

Fun: 4.5/5
If wheelies are your thing look elsewhere. If you want a bike to do a favorite route, and I can think of a few near me, this is a wonderful choice. Even though the engine comes alive a little late in the middle range, gear selection is crucial off corners because if you are in the wrong one it feels stagnent.

Style: 5/5
Probably the best looking 600. People might argue the aging R6 is the best but that bike is so past overdue for a true evolution like the R1 has ove gone. What other 600cc bike looks remotely alike it's MotoGP stablemate? Exactly.

Overall: 4.5/5
The bike goes like stink. It handles very well, especially with Pirellis.

ZX-6R

Value: 4/5
Kawasaki doesn't built high quality bikes in terms of fit and finish. But it's a quality gem when it comes to riding. The 636cc engine is exhilirating. You can really feel the difference in delivery and it takes little to notice the advantage it has in pull over the other bikes. Like other againg Kawasakis, this bike will probably last forever as long as the owners give it love and attention.

Efficiency: 4/5
This bike is really efficient when it comes to producing smiles. I can get to that later. I think the 636 gets more miles out of a gallon than the 600RR. A close friend told me the bike's valves need to be revalved oftened. That's not cost effective. Tire spinning decreases tire life - not cost effective.

Fun: 5/5
If rocketing out of bends or just wanting to beat other people to the stop light is your thing, Kawasaki has a product for you. I love the sound coming from this bike. Haven't noticed any big differences in rider confidence compare to other bikes. An all out fun bike.

Style: 4/5
Kawasaki's latest bikes designs are a bit subjective but I am growing to like them despite the alien feel from a straight foward perspective.

Overall: 4.25/5
A bike that will outpace any 600 in terms of all out acceleration. Not the best built bike but good enough by today's standards. The best selling bike of 2003. What else can I say?

GSX-R600
Can't provide you with anything. Took the bike out once at Rocky Mountain Cycle Plaza. It feels good and comfortable but didn't really ride the heels off of one yet. Hard enough to hear the airbox.

i think you need to get our arse on the bikes to see what is comfortable for you and what goes the way you are comfy riding. when i was looking for my 2nd bike in 1999 i rode those bikes and found that:
honda easy to ride but no excitement or thrill. it did everything with no surprises
kawasaki was uncomfortable but fun because of slight unpredictabilty

suzuki is what i bought because it was between the two for comfort but really fun to ride because it would scare the shit out of me every time i give it a big twist. still very easy to ride

all the bikes are in the same ballpark. you may ride a kwak quicker than a gixer but your mate might do the opposite. ride them and decide for youself and don't be swayed by others opinions.
