1995 Cavalier fuel pump

Help! can't hear the fuel pump priming up when turning the ignition on, and it won't start. Did this a couple of times over the last year but it always fired up after jogging the starter a few times. This time it's totally dead. Tried banging on the tank with epectations of jarring the pump off a flat spot (assume the pump is in there) and moving the wire harness around but to no avail.

Where's the pump located, and could it just be an intermittent connection going to it?

Thanks in advance, e-mail me direct if you like to

replace the pump relay located under a cover next to your battery. I did this in mine and it seemed to fix it. the new relay cost around $18 bucks. if this doesn't work you'll need to replace the pump. I havn't done this but I believe you'll have to drop the tank. Try the relay solution first.
