Jacking Points?
Hey, i have a 5th gen civic and i was wondering where the front and rear jacking points were? Not the ones for the scissor jack, but a floor jack...

You can use a scissor jack on all jack points. But the ones for the front and rear are:
Front - underneath the car behind the bumper underneath the radiator. It's a little metal bump offcenter of the car (more on the driver's side) Rear - the rear tow hook is what most people use. Just make sure you chock the wheels so the car doesn't roll onto you and when you have the car jacked up use jack stands to support the car - NEVER USE THE JACK TO HOLD UP THE CAR WHILE YOU WORK ON IT...

you can do what i do........take off the front bumper (because the car is too low with the body kit too fit under the front) and then jack up the front end on the tow hook. then proceed to the rear and jam it under the car and put it on the rear tow hook. lol

i found a really easy to jacking up cars w/ kits..DRIVE THE STUPID THING ON A COUPLE OF 2" BLOCKS! itll make ur life alot easier..

For those who have very low cars you can make a ramp out a of plank of plywood 8'x1'x1". This is what I did.
Cut the board in half so you have 4'x1'x1", then cut 1' off each of your two planks. Glue the 1' plank onto the 3' plank you have now to make a little ramp so you can slide the jack under your car.

They also sell slim profile jacks, about 1.5 inches thick. Also most industrial grade hydraulic jacks are very slim and will fit under most cars, although it's hard to get a hold of one, if you can then....
But what I did was just buy metal ramps, similar to the wood thing. Cost me $20 at pep boyz.
