Re: Intake over K&N?
Usually, people say they gain about 10-15 horsepower.Of course this is what the manufacter says. But it all depends on how much power your making. In your case,if your car is stock.Im guessing you will gain about 6-9 horses.Just estimating.

Re: Intake over K&N?
I think you will lose Hp. The intake will be sucking hot air from inside the engine. Plus the tube is made of metal which will get hotter than the stock plastic intake and heat the air inside.

Re: Intake over K&N?
I thought they stopped using metal in the gold digging days. Most of those kits are made from aluminum, which dissipates heat. And cmon, plastic gets hot too. Also, ive seen where the kit ends up(Behind the battery) and its not THAT close to the engine.

If you do get an AEM, I suggest the cold air intake over the short ram.

Re: Intake over K&N?
no honestly i took my cold air intake out from the fender cause it was to damn loud there and just made it a WAI, and i cant notice a difference. I do noitce is a difference with the car, it seems to pull harder at higher RPMS than it used to.
