Guys need to replace the resonator after the cat ...
What would you recommend for the small resonator that goes behind the CAT on the exahust system. Mine is broken inside and since I got the car from my dad's garage to break in the engine sounds rough and clogged when starting from 0 mph. I want to replace it with something that would give the car a deep, low pitched sound.

People seem happy with those Dynomax bullet mufflers. What type of mufflers do you have on it now? If you have stock mufflers you probably won't hear much of a tone change.

If that isn't an option I've heard good things about Magnaflow mufflers welded on to the stock system. Nice cruising burble and not too loud either.

spend the extra $$ and get the borla. i'm real picky about the way my car sounds and this is the best sounding exhaust i've had since i put cvx on my formula.

Just put in a straight pipe. Dont waste money on a full catback like borla or any of the other systems out there.

Re: Guys need to replace the resonator after the cat ...
That is the thing, since the car has headers I would like to hear header like sound. Like the old headered I-6 jeeps. All I want is real car sound not weaky wimpy sound. I love W bodys and F bodys (V6s) but I hate the exahust note. Something that will make the car sound like a real car but without loosing the sleeper status

It sounds like you want a V8ish tone and your never going to get it with these cars.

Mine was broken today too. I will replace it tomorrow with a straight pipe. Thanks Ripn12s.

Re: Guys need to replace the resonator after the cat ...
I know I will never get the V8, but there must be something really close to that. I will install the straight pipe tomorow unless the guy at the mufler shop advice me different. I guess I will have to drive by ear on this one.
