Smile My Fiero Lambo Door Conversion :)

Hi! I just stumbled across this forum, seems nice and friendly here.

Just wanted to show you my Fiero.

I have an 88 Formula, it's mostly stock, except for the hood decal and doors... The hinges are from Decah.

Hope you like!

More pictures are HERE:

Have a good one!

Nice car. How much were the hinges, and do they require professional installation? (I can't check because the Decah site says the server is busy)

Re: My Fiero Lambo Door Conversion :)

They ARE a bit pricey for the hinges (around $1,200). It isn't an easy "bolt-on" kit (they have one in the works, it's around $2,200 - $2,500)

My final cost was $2,300, for the hinges, installation, and window tint. You can see some more pics here:

The nice thing about this kit is that the doors swing outward, then up. You don't need to swing them up to get in and out of the car.

There's a few other Fieros with Lambo doors, one incredible specimin is HERE:

Just do NOT go to the place he did to get the hinges installed, they are no longer in business.

Have a good one!

I WISH. I have a lot on my plate right now. Maybe I'll attend some other show over the summer...

It's a nice MOD, but I wish I had the garage space to play with the engine a little...

Re: My Fiero Lambo Door Conversion :)

Very VERY cool look. I wanted to do that myself but in the past 2 weeks there has been an explosion of Civics with those hinge kits around here. (Three words: ew! ew! ew!) My new self appointed mission is to make the doors butterfly backward instead of forward. Wish Me luck!!!
