Online Hobbyshop in Canada

I try to find a Damn Tamiya Skyline R34 VSpec II at good price, and can'T find any. modelexpress don't have it and can't have it, udisco is expensive and are dumba$$, and other webshop I know ask 45$ and more for this kit ! (should be 36$ and less)

Us Store ask 35$US for shipping for a single kit (they are insane !!) so about 59$US for this kit.. add to this customs and taxe, and that bring it at over 100$Cnd. a real joke !!

Do you know a website in canada that have this kit for cheap ? I don't want to order from japan for this kit (that is suposed to be easy to find )

Else, I will have a SAS C-Style transkit for sell

You should try www.towerhobbies.com, they are based in Illinois, U.S. and the shipping should not be expensive.

Have you thought about contacting dennis at modelexpress about possibly ordering in a few? You can let him know if he does, I will also make a purchase...if that helps convince him

Re: Online Hobbyshop in Canada

I prefer Canada becose:
1. Shipping is lower
2. no Custom Fees

but if someone have this kit, i don't mind where it come from, I'm just asking that for a store.

as for Towerhobies, I just looked and they ask 18$Us for the shipping a single kit ! so 37$Us for a Skyline ? add Customs and Taxes and I have a round 64$Cnd !! 14$ more than an Enzo

Dam! I Have alway's hoped to find this kit on his site, I have never found half the models he has in any hobby shop I have been too! and R-24 is my favourite car, so I would be likely to buy more than one! Modelexpress is now the only place (other than walmart when they have cheap prices on revell kits) that I buy models, I just wish he would stock styrene, paints and airbrushes!

Re: Online Hobbyshop in Canada

Hey Vric, i dont know why u dont order from HLJ?? I order the R34 V-Spec II AND a Supra, both 1/24 Tamiya Sports Car Series from there, i live in London ontario, after EVERYTHING i mean taxes, shipping, customs, Us to CAD convertions, it cost me 78 dollars Cad, i thought that was a decent price price, maybe u should check out HLJ?? and plus u are only looking for just teh V-Spec II? Btw, the website for HLJ is www.HLJ.com

Re: Online Hobbyshop in Canada

i mite add, that the shipping gets cheaper the more u order, i ordered a 180SX, CRX, epoxy putty, styrene sheets, and a mechanic tool set, for 63.75US.. not sure how much in cdn cuz we paid using US, im also in London, Ontario, and shipping for all that was only 1580yen.. which is 19 bux cdn.. i dont think thats too bad for shipping from japan. The only thing is it takes about 2 weeks for u to recieve the product if its in stock

Re: Online Hobbyshop in Canada

I already ordered from HLJ

I plan to make a big order later this year, but not right now, it's why I want to get one locally.

78$Cnd is about the same price you would pay here with shipping (Supra is 28.97$ and the R34 would be about 34.97$ on modelexpress.. add 8$ for shipping + taxes you get 76.97$ and you would get it in 1 week insted of 35 days)
