how to remove fenders?

I did a search before I bothered posting this topic and I didn't find anything for a 96-00 civic. If anyone has a brief instruction on how to remove the front fenders from an EJ civic, please post. If you are able to find a previous thread on how to do this, simply paste the link and prevent me from wasting anyone else's time. Thanks...

I can't remember where all of the bolts are, but you have to open up your door and there are 2 bolts there. There will be a few bolts underneath, you'll have to pull away the fender lining, and the bolts under the hood. There might be a few towards the front that require you to take the front bumper off, but I can't remember for sure.

Dude the best thing to do is get a chilton, hanes or some other good quality shop manual. I personally use a Chilton and have found it to be very useful.

They might even have them at the library so you can check it out before you buy.

theres 3 bolts on top of the fender, underneath the hood. theres one bolt that bolts on to the headlight underneath the front bumper cover. then theres another one right next to the bolt by the headlight(still underneath the front bumper. then theres 2 bolts on the very bottom of the fender, underneath the side skirt. and when you open the door theres one at the very top of the fender kind of behind the door, when u open the door you can easily get to it. if you are not in a big hurry i can post pictures for you tommorow. cuz im in school right now and i have to work till midnight today.

Re: how to remove fenders?

not in too much of a hurry. The car is still sitting outside. We have to clean the garage out before I can park it in there. I don't want to take body parts off til it's got shelter. Pictures would be great!
