Manual tranny oil change

Hi,

I have a protege, and was looking at the owners manual for maintenance of manual tranny. There is NO oil change suggested for the tranny for the lifetime of the car, that sounds funny. I was wondering if I should get the tranny oil changed, and if it is possible.

Engine is a 99 protege 1.6 L

Thanks

es

Re: Manual tranny oil change

my guess would be that it is possible and that you should have it done. usually you only have to change the fluid/filter for the transmission 1/100,000 miles. But, i would call the mazda dealer if i were you just to check.
