Re: how much HP with ingen CaI?

ClubRSX Intake Shootout on Dec. 17th in Denver: Injen scored higher performance points than AEM intakes. Dynoed car had Magnaflow exhaust and Densos...otherwise stock.

yeah, the injen has a marginal hp and tq increase, and it is also easier to install.

Re: how much HP with ingen CaI?

I have an AEM CAI and it sounds so beautiful at WOT. (although i've found that I can get faster times, not completely mashing the throttle, and feeling for the best position) Anyway, back to Q's, the CAI give my car a nice secure growl. With the stock intake sound, my car just sounded a bit whiney when it got up there in rpm's. Now, with CAI, it definatly sounds like a sports car, and you can tell the engine means business.

Re: how much HP with ingen CaI?

Either will realistically only give you 3-5hp at best..any intake is pretty much the same HP-wise...anyone who tells you any different is clueless.
My opinion, unless you want to spend $200 and get a sticker with your intake, go to ebay, buy one there for under $40. It's the same thing.

At idle, you will hear the intake sucking in air, under acceleration, your engine will sound louder and more aggressive.

can't go wrong with aem or injen...put the injen sticker on your car and that will add like 50 horse power.

Re: how much HP with ingen CaI?

its something like an added 2 horsepower. definitely not worth the money. stick to what Igovert500 said because they're basically all the same. with your extra $200 bucks you can put it to better use.

you can get that deep sound with your stock filter just by taking off the top cover to the air box
