I got the DOHC ZC in my 94 hatchback. I had to rig my distributor since the ZCs were in the pre OBD's and the 5th gen civics are OBD1, but I saw a kid wiht a ZC in his crx of 4th gen style, and it had a extra sensor that was run off the exhaust cam(he had the DOHC as well) and told me that it was the CAS, which is what my ECU threw the code for when I had the ZC running. and the older style ECU's wont plug into the 5th gen harnesses anyways I dont think, my friend dad had a broke down old CRX where the ECU is under the seat, thought Id try it to se if I wouldnt throw a code with this ECU, but it wouldnt fit, maybe it was a old old CRX, not sure what year it was. I ended up taking a OBD1(2 works also) B series distributor, and youll eventually find a way that one hole lines up, and it bolts in, only thing is only one bolt holds it(no leaks yet though) and you have no timing adjustment, you also have to rotate the position of the plug wires 90 degrees CC wheen looking at cap. you can be sure thogh by when you remove the civic dist, look where the rotor is pointing, then put the new dist on, wherever the rotor is pointing move the wire from the cylinder the old rotor pointed to to where the new rotor points to and then finish the firing order(1-4-3-2 I belive)
