Re: OBD1 or OBD2???

Not to sure. All that I know is that since I have the OBD 1, it will cost like $70 for a shop to check why my "service engine soon" keeps coming on. If it was OBD-ll then it would be FREE at Autozone! Also, Obd-1 stopped in like 94 or 95 (correct me if i am wrong). Then they went to the OBD-ll. If you have the OBD-l system, then you got to buy a chip for your car. If you have teh OBD-ll system, then a reprogrammer will work.

93 OBD1 you can buy a chip 94-95 OBD1 you can buy a programmer for as well as 96-97 OBD2, I have a 97 T/A... You can buy an OBD1 scanner for like 100 bucks from Kragen or Autozone... But I am still curious as to my original questions...??
