Rpms and tach????
Just installed a tach in my 91 HB and hooked the green wire to the blue behind the cluster. Just want to make sure im getting the right rpm readings. So my question is during normal driving approx whats the max rpms everyone is turning on average???
thanks |

Re: Rpms and tach????
Well what do you mean by max rpm's. If you're trying to figure out if your rpms are right...run your car at a certain speed in a certain gear and come on here and see if that is the same with other people with the same engine/tranny as you. For instance, with my car 80mph in 5th gear (Si Tranny) my rpm's are at like 4,000.

Re: Rpms and tach????
Yeah I know the Si and dx have different gears but I don't think you're running at 2,000 rpms @ 80mph when I'm running 4,000 rpms @ 80mph. That is too much of a difference, in my opinion.
