IAT extension question

well soon i am getting a Thrasher CAI amongst other stuff for my graduation gift. now i saw on pfyc.com this intake air temperature extension that says should be used if you get a thrasher or other CAI's b/c it gives a cooler air temp reading. is this really a necessary part? i think it's only about 25 bucks but is it worth it b/c i want to do this CAI thing right b/c i dont have to pay for it just a side note... the other stuff was some hella angel eye foglights and the u-bend replacement... thanks a lot guys!!!

those angeleye headlights are awesome. i wouldnt get the u-bend replacement but if i were to get two things, it would be the chip replacement off pfyc.com and the "new" SD hood -thats awesome

I would get the ubend. Worse restriction in the exhuast, followed by the stock down pipe.

I'm with Ripn remove the u-bend the engine will be resonsive.

thanks for your responses guys! i was just wondering if i should and i know ripn12's knows his stuff so i wont opt for it. saved me 25bucks those angel eyes are gonna be sweet..and hopefully i can get that u-bend replacement, i'll see if my dad let's me. those "chips" are usually for gtp's which i dont have and those hoods are amazing but they are freaking expensive and i definately dont have to money for that. i would buy new headers or something before i lay down 800+ bucks for an unpainted hood thanks again guys
