94 Explorer A/C blower

Can anyone help with this. The blower on my a/c seems to work intermittantly. I go to turn it on and get nothing with or without the a/c on. Most times after a few minutes, it will come on. When it does work, it blows cold, since I had the compressor replaced last year. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with my 96. My A/C would not come on until I popped the hood and tapped on the blower motor housing with a screwdriver. Lasted like this for a little while but eventually it went out altogether. I replaced the blower motor and everything was fine. I don't remember how much $, but i don't think it was that much. The next time it won't come on, tap on it, could be the same.

Re: 94 Explorer A/C blower

Let the car run for a couple of minutes then turn it on, same thing for the heater. Dont turn it on the minute u start ur car. Good maintenence from the start will keep ur parts working well till the end. Good habits=good long term results

Re: 94 Explorer A/C blower

It is probably the blower motor relay. The relay is located in the fusebox under the hood- at least in my 94- tap it with a screw driver and it will most likely fix it. it is also called a heater blower relay-
Goodluck
