Can not open rear door on my 2002 camry

I removed the inner door panel to check a dent on my left rear door on my 2002 camry. But I must didn't insert the door lock cabel correctly when I installed it back. Now the door can not open from both inside and outside, so I couldn't remove the panel to check it again.

The door lock always in open status. When I turn the key to open all doors, I can see the door lock jump several times, but the door is still locked.

Want to see if there's a way to remove the internal door handle or disconnect the lock cabel under this condition?

Buy a slim jim and grab the lock from the outside next to the door handle.

Thanks Brian. Could that be found in local auto part shop? Do you have any more details to use the slimjim to open the door?

Maybe I wasn't clear, but the slim jim will unlock the door by grabbing the latch and unlocking it. I don't know from your description if that will work in your case or not.

Sorry, I don't know where to find them. Usually they are in a discount table in a corner somewhere. Just ask in a parts store. They will know.

How to use them? Each car is different depending on the geometry of the latch mechanism. I bet if you search the internet, you can find this. Or if you know a tow truck driver. Are you a member of AAA? Maybe you can get one of their drivers to open the door for you.

Also, I bet the dealer can tell you how to open the door. Maybe you can drive it up there and they will open it for you with their slim jim. (Just don't close it before you get the inside panel off).
