Graphic/Computer gurus

A buddy sent me a graphic file with a .mix extension and I can't get it to open in Photoshop. This the first time I have seen something like this. What other programs can I open this in and resave it as a .psd, .gif, or .jpg?? I need to open this cuz it's supposed to be used in an ad I am working on. So far P-Shop is the only program I have been using to do my ads in.

Thanks in advance for your help I will check back for answers tomorrow (if anyone has any hehe) since I am hitting the hay now.

On topic: I can't help here; sorry.

Off topic: I hate when programs use file extensions that are obviously used by something else. A program I use all the time at work uses ".scr" for script files, but ".scr" is used by Windows as the extension for screen savers.

Damn, good work KB! Your app knowledge far surpasses mine, all I could come up with is MS Picture it!

PS. I think there is a patch you can d/l for Photoshop that allows you to view that file type.

Thanks kb! Unfortunately I don't think I have any of these programs I looked thru my MSOffice 2000 folder and didn't see PhotoDraw or any other picture programs in there.

Yes, Jay I hate files like that Half of those programs I never even heard of until kb posted his response. I guess if I can't find something to download later to get this open I will ask him to send me a .jpg file or something.

You can try Morpheous to see if you can get a cop of the software.

If you want a good list of file extensions, check out http://filext.com/m.htm
