Transmission fluid

I haven't checked into this yet but was wondering if anyone knows. I believe Dodge uses ATF+4 trans fluid. Is this a synthetic or not so much? My truck is a 2000 2500. I believe it has a 47RE or a 46/RE.

you have a 46re transmission and it requires ATF+3. don't try to use any other fluid as it will not work and caus emany more problems down the line.

Re: Transmission fluid

Actually, the ATF+4 is synthetic. It is recommended for top-off, services, and rebuilds in everything except mini-vans with the A-604/41TE pre '99. This is because of the torque converter clutch stratigy(EMCC)Electronic Modulated Converter Clutch on the mini-van. Other than that...Its awesome.

Backwards compatible except for pre-'99 604/41TE mini-van.

Don't put DexIII or 7176 in a ATF+4 rig
